An open study of female sexuality by controversial Danish director Lars von Trier.

Badly beaten, Joe, the film’s protagonist, is found in a park by an older man. A nymphomaniac, she reveals the secrets of her twisted fate and many sexual encounters to the solitary intellectual. Joe’s narrative is divided into eight chapters following her from childhood, adolescence and into adulthood.

Awards: Bodil Awards 2014: Best Actress. Italian Online Movie Awards (IOMA) 2015: Best European Film. Robert Festival 2015: Best Film, Director, Original Screenplay, Cinematography, Costume Design, Editing, Sound, Visual Effects. And other prizes.
